Newsletter released – discusses 100000 genome project

The latest edition of our newsletter ‘Update’ is now available for download in the members’ section of our website. In it you can read that POI has been recognised in a nationwide department of health project called the 100,000 genome Project. It has taken 18 months to convince the department of health to accept POI into this project. There are around 8000 rare diseases and only 135 have so far been accepted. POI is also the only Women’s Health Condition to be accepted so far.  The ethics have finally been approved and many doctors across England can now recruit women with POI into this project. Read more at http://www.genomicsengland.co.uk/
