Abi, 28 years old-Support Worker 🌼

“The day that changed everything. I was 19 when I was having symptoms of P.O.I but didn’t know I had it at the time. I would have these hot flushes on and off when at work. My hair was starting to thin out. I wasn’t getting my periods regularly. As more signs came up, I knew something wasn’t right so that’s when me and my mum went to the doctors. It took a while for me to get my bloods taken but when they did it showed that my prolactin levels were super high. I was then referred to the gynaecologist and that’s when everything changed. I was told I had ovarian failure which is P.O.I

I remember being in floods of tears as I wanted to have a family of my own but know it won’t be as easy for me. I have been on H.R.T since and has helped me a lot. I found out about the daisy network when watching the news. I know am not alone in this and would like to be more involved with the daisy network.”
